"Paws for Kids"

Thank you to Nestlé Purina for lending a paw to Variety kids!

On four different days during the year 2009, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch ran a coupon good for 50 cents off any Nestlé Purina product. For every Purina coupon redeemed between April 18-25, Purina donated five cents to Support Dogs, Inc., to help place companion dogs with kids with special needs.

Nestlé Purina made a minimum donation of $5,000.

Sarah's Story

William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” In Sarah’s world, her place is not on the stage, but in the wings managing the show. The high school senior has been involved in school productions since ninth grade, but it wasn’t until she served as assistant stage manager for the Variety Children’s Theatre production of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” that she realized just how big a role theatre plays in her life.
