A Morning Away from the Office
Several Variety Board members got to revisit their childhood and go to camp for a couple of hours on Wednesday morning! Each was paired with a camper buddy to complete an art project, sing songs and take a tour.
Board Member Marcia Niedringhaus danced with her new friend Lucy, age 5, while Alison Sheehan and camper Matt, 9, talked movies. They all chatted while decorating picture frames that would later hold a special photo of the new friends, and then they danced the Hokey Pokey and sang “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
Other board members attending were Marilyn Fox, Steve Crimmins, Leslie Wilson and Brian Rothery. Young Variety Board members were Adam Bryant, Jenny Viviano, Jessica Volk, Brian Lich and Josh Ferguson. They all saw first-hand how 85 kids with disabilities are able to say “I CAN!” at Variety Adventure Camp. For more photos from the board visit, visit Variety on Flickr!
