We've had a ball this Variety Week...how 'bout you?
Last weekend's gorgeous weather was the perfect setting for the official kickoff of Variety Week with the eighth annual Variety Parade, as well as the ever-popular Runway Lights Fashion Show. While the kids were having fun cruising the streets of downtown St. Louis on various floats, more than 500 people attended the fashion show, which brought in $115,000 for Variety!
Monday had us at Busch Stadium, as guests of Bank of America to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before our St. Louis Cardinals took on the Florida Marlins. And on Tuesday we were up bright and early for our first-ever KTVI/KPLR Call-A-Thon for Kids. Wednesday was Imo's for Kids Day, raising even more money for Variety kids.
Of course there's no rest for the weary, so now we're gearing up for tonight's Young Variety Night of the Rising Stars at Palladium St. Louis. And then it all culminates with Dinner with the Stars, tomorrow night at the Chase Park Plaza. Tune in to our media partner KTVI for a look at the glitz and glamour, as well as interviews with some of our special guests!
Remember...every dollar donated this week (and every week) to Variety stays right here in St. Louis to help local children with physical and mental disabilities. Won't you consider contributing?
