Variety Night at Busch Stadium

Variety is so, so thankful to our friends at Bank of America for donating their "night at the ballpark" to Variety as part of Variety Week!

Last night, before the St. Louis Cardinals took on the Florida Marlins, Bank of America invited Variety kids Daunte, Caleb and Robbie on the field to watch batting practice!  And then...Variety kid Robbie got to throw out the ceremonial first pitch alongside our 2011 Woman of the Year Pat Mercurio, President of Bank of America in Missouri.

The looks on the boys' faces were priceless as they got autographs from Colby Rasmus and Mark McGwire.  And Pat, a dedicated Variety board member, became fast friends with Robbie and his family.  (Check out some of the photos on our Flickr page!)

Later, more families served by Variety were able to watch the game from the comfort of two luxury suites donated by Bank of America.  We definitely received the VIP treatment!

Robbie really said it all when he exclaimed, "THIS IS AWESOME!" after throwing out the first pitch.  We couldn't agree more!
