Variety St. Louis assists more than 1,450 St. Louis-area children by providing them with durable medical equipment – including wheelchairs, augmentative speech devices, leg braces, hearing aids, prostheses, and van lifts – that empowers them to be physically independent.
Jace was 5 years old, and using a communication device provided by Variety when he was able to tell his parents that he loves them. Variety has also provided Jace with a mobile stander, manual wheelchair, several sets of leg braces, a back brace and a special seat – nearly $40,000 worth of vital medical equipment.
Gracie is an 11-year-old with cerebral palsy who first came to Variety for assistance when she was 3 years old. Since then, she and her family have been a part of nearly every Variety program and service, and she has received nearly $75,000 worth of medical equipment.
