Nick sells Gold Heart Pins at Variety's annual Champions for Children Summit.

Given Variety’s roots in the entertainment industry, it’s no surprise that Hollywood has long been a proud supporter of Variety. For the past seven years, Variety has partnered with the motion picture industry to design and market the Gold Heart pins around the most popular Hollywood movie properties. Gold Heart pins featuring the likes of Mickey Mouse, E.T., Shrek and Spider-Man have generated more than $95 million for children worldwide.
Each spring in St. Louis, Wehrenberg Theatres combine to sell more than 30,000 Gold Heart pins to raise close to $100,000 for Variety. This year’s Gold Heart pin features the iconic Star Wars characters, C-3PO and R2-D2.
