Program Director
Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis (formerly Variety Club) is seeking a Program Director. Responsibilities include the planning, development and implementation of programs for children with physical and mental disabilities supported by Variety, including but not limited to: Bikes for Kids, Variety Children's Chorus, Variety Adventure Camp, Variety Parade, special outings through the "St. Louis Through the Eyes" program, and the Variety Toy Trolley. This position reports to the executive director.
The Program Director will also maintain the Variety Resource Center, providing information for Variety families regarding education, social, legal, medical, therapeutic, advocacy and support group issues with videos, books, tapes and recreational equipment.
Qualifications: BS in Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation. Emphasis on program management a plus. Minimum two years direct experience in planning programs for children with physical and mental disabilties. Camp experience also preferred.
