Night of the Rising Stars
Young Variety hosted yet another
spectacular event on Friday, April 25 - the 10th anniversary Night of
the Rising Stars! It was surely a night to remember, and for less than
the cost of a
typical night out, 600 St. Louisans left a lasting impact on St. Louis
children
in need! The
anniversary event was held on the Starlight Roof at
the Chase Park Plaza. The Fabulous Motown Revue provided
entertainment, while Anheuser-Busch had plenty of beverages on
hand for guests. Gourmet hors d'oeuvres were served by Butler's Pantry
Catering, Café Napoli, LoRusso's Cucina, Oceano Bistro, The Melting Pot
and Roxane. The event was emceed by Guy Phillips and Courtney
Landrum of Y98's Phillips & Company. Event co-chairs were
Stephanie
Bauer and Chrissy Frazier. To see photos from the 2007 event, click here!
All
of the proceeds from Night of the Rising Stars benefit Variety the
Children’s Charity of St. Louis. Variety directly assists 1,400 St.
Louis-area families of children with physical and mental disabilities
every time they need help, from infancy to the age of 21, by providing
them with vital medical equipment, developmental programs and a
valuable resource center. Variety also allocates funds to 85 partner
agencies that serve children with disabilities. Young Variety is a
group of young St. Louis professionals -- age 21 to 40 -- that raises
funds and interest for Variety and its programs.
